IOs must submit postmortem reports in 10 days of murders

The High Court (HC) today directed the investigation officers (IOs) of murder cases to submit the postmortem and inquest reports to the concerned magistrates within 10 days of any murder incidents. The court ordered the health secretary, home secretary, Directorate General of Health Services and Inspector General of Prisons to take necessary steps in this regard, Assistant Attorney General Md Yousuf Mahmud Morshed told The Daily Star.
