Wahidul Huq passes away

Former finance minister Wahidul Huq passed away in Toronto, Canada, on Thursday. He was 87.  His family sources confirmed it to The Daily Star yesterday. The noted economist was the minister during the regime of HM Ershad. Wahidul completed his masters from Dhaka University in 1955 and did his PhD from Stanford University in California, US.
