2 ‘robbers’ beaten to death in B’baria

Two suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-mob attack at Durgapur in Ashuganj upazila of Brahmanbaria  early today. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. A group of robbers swooped on the house of Habibur Rahman in the dead of night and tried to loot valuables after keeping the house inmates hostage at gunpoint, said Assistant Superintendent of Brahmanbaria Police Makbul Hossain. As the inmates tried to resist the robbers they beat them up, leaving Sanaullah Mia, 40, Rahul Mia, 25 and Priti Akter injured.
