Tension soars between locals and Rohingyas

A sense of panic has gripped a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar’s Hnila union since a local Jubo League leader was shot dead allegedly by a Rohingya gang at the camp on Thursday night. Many of the nearly 10,000 refugees at the Jadimura camp in Teknaf fear something untoward could happen in retaliation for the murder.   A number of locals voiced the same concern.
