ED: Helping the agricultural sector meet its potential

Farmers should be encouraged to take up these new agricultural methods
Agriculture has always been at the heart of the nation’s economy, and as such, it is entirely warranted that developing the agricultural sector remain a priority for us.

To that end, modernizing and mechanizing the production process is our best bet. In addition to constantly upgrading the equipment used, it is imperative we constantly invest in newer farming methods and practices.

Hydroponic farming, for example, is an alternative that we should explore to the fullest. It not only expedites the production process, making it possible to farm in the limited spaces in urban landscapes and reduce waste and transport costs, but also results in healthier produce, mostly free of chemicals.
