Dhaka stocks gain for fifth consecutive day

The stock market gained today maintaining the rising trend of the last five consecutive trading days thanks to the increased participation of investors. The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), soared 78 points, or 1.39 per cent, to end the day at 5,724.36. The consecutive rise in the index has made the investors happy this year, industry insiders said.
