The High Court today banned two books – "Dia Arefin" and "Nanir Bani" -- both written by Diarsi Arag, for hurting religious sentiments. The court ordered the director general of Bangla Academy to seize the copies of the books from the Ekushey Boi Mela. It also ordered the government to take steps to stop further publication and marketing of the books.
