Gaibandha erosion leaves 150 families homeless

At least 150 families in Kapasia and Haripur unions of Sundarganj upazila became homeless due to erosion by the Teesta river in the last three days. With the increasing water level in Teesta basin, erosion by the river has intensified in different char areas of the unions, rendering over 100 families homeless and devouring a vast tract of croplands during the time, said locals.
