As Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, is just a day or two away; people in large numbers are continuing to leave the capital to spend the holidays with their loved ones despite the ongoing restriction on public movement.Dhaka Tribunes Syed Zakir Hossain captured the rush of holidaymakers heading home from Gabtoli and Amin Bazar areas of Dhaka on Wednesday.Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked Muslims to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr in their present locations to help curb the spread of coronavirus across the country.Although, long-haul bus and train service remained suspended, people are seen paying extra fare to travel to their homes on minibuses, trucks, and private cars or on foot to visit their families and friends.The death toll from Covid-19 infection has surpassed the grim 12,000-mark in Bangladesh, with another 33 fatalities reported on Tuesday.
